GEODIS faced a pressing challenge – how to meet the growing demand of their customers without relocating to a new facility. Finding available space in the logistics hotspot was nearly impossible, and even if they did, it would cause significant inconvenience and delay to their customers. The Prologis Essentials Team saw an opportunity to help and proposed an innovative solution – building a triple mezzanine in the warehouse. But, there was a hurdle – the warehouse floor was over 30 years old and couldn’t support a conventional mezzanine. To overcome this, Prologis, the structural engineer, the mezzanine builder, a construction engineering consultant, and GEODIS worked together to create a custom-made design that would triple the storage space within the warehouse. This partnership resulted in a total solution that was a first of its kind in Europe.
To showcase the innovative collaboration between Prologis Essentials and GEODIS, Prologis commissioned Met Inspiratie from A to Z to create a captivating video. Using interviews with key stakeholders and showcasing the custom-made triple mezzanine, the video highlights the creativity and ingenuity required to solve complex challenges in the logistics industry.
